Obituary for Evelyn “Evie” Momy-Boyce (Boyce)
Peacefully on Friday March 2nd, at the age of 80, Evie passed away after a brief illness. Evie was the mother of 5 sons Paul (Diane Théberge), the late Bill (Kathryn O’Grady), the late Michael, Brian (Cynthia Noto) and Ian. She is also survived by her former daughter-in-law Marites Jacob-Momy, her grandchildren Sarah, Gabrielle, Kevin, Marian, Benjamin, Samantha and Patricia, her great grandchildren Alexandrea, Charlotte, Riley and soon to be born Thomas. Evie is predeceased by her parents Stanley Boyce and Germaine Proulx, her 5 siblings Ted, Bob, Joan, Bud and her twin sister Cathy. She also leaves countless nephews, nieces, great nephews and great nieces along with many friends with whom she shared life events. Her sons will be hosting a Celebration of Life this Saturday from 12:00 to 14:30 in the Sus Salon (27/28 floor) of the Marriott Ottawa Hotel, 100 Kent Street, Ottawa. During this Celebration, a eulogy will be delivered and guests will be invited to share their fond memories of Evie. A lunch will also be served. In lieu of flowers, you may elect to make a donation to the Ottawa Heart Institute or the Canadian Diabetes Association.
