1940-2018
At the Fundy Nursing Home, Blacks Harbour NB on January 12, 2018,
Evelyn Christine Tatton of Pennfield NB passed away surrounded by her
family.
Born at St. Andrews NB on August 21, 1940, she was a daughter of
the late N. Stuart and Edith F. (Little) Tatton.
A loving mother, grandmother, companion and sister, she is survived
by her daughter: Ronda (Stephen) Cooke of Mayfield NB, grandchildren;
Corey, Kyle and Kendra, great grandson, special companion Francis
McRae and his daughters Cindy and Andrea and her son Jarret,
siblings: Ruth Ellis of Johnsons Settlement NB, Joan and Harold Lee of
Calais Me, Margaret Richard of St Stephen NB, Audrey McCullough of St.
Andrews NB, Ivan Tatton (Simona Lusk) of Bethel NB, Pearl Scott of St.
Andrews NB, Earl (Debbie) Scott of Bethel NB, Geraldine (Evangeline)
Scott Of Mohannes NB, Guilford (Ellery) Scott of St. Stephen NB, Peter
(Daphne) Scott of Oven Head NB, Willa Jean Bernard of St. George NB,
Douglas (Jackyln) Scott of Barters Settlement NB, Bonny (Danny)
Firlotte of Chamcook NB, extended family; Charles Palk and Kenneth
(Lindi) Palk both of Saint John NB, Patricia (Douglas) Hoyt of
Pennfield NB, Sheldon (Charlotte) Palk of new Maryland and Ronald
(Diane) Palk of Riverview NB as well as several nieces, nephews and
cousins.
In addition to her parents she was predeceased by a sister Donna
Cook and chosen parents Darrell and Betty Palk. Evelyn was a devoted
homemaker by trade having seen too many family homes as well as
churches and church parsonages in the area. Church was a big part of
her life as she was a long time member of the Pennfield Baptist Church
and held positions on the Board of Trustee’s, Sunday School teacher
and choir. She was a very hard worker in our community and a friendly
soul and will be sadly missed by her family and all who knew her.
Arrangements in the care of the St. George Funeral Home &
Crematorium, 26 Portage Street St. George NB. Resting at the Pennfield
Baptist Church where the service will be held on Tuesday at 2pm with
Rev. Grant Alcorn officiating. Interment will be held in the church
cemetery in the spring. Visiting at the church on Monday from 2-4 and
7-9 pm. In Evelyn`s memory donations to the Pennfield Baptist
Church or a charity of the donors choice would be appreciated by the
family. The family would also like to thank the management and staff
of the Fundy Nursing Home for their kind, caring and their
compassionate care shown to Evelyn during her stay.
