Evelyn Beatrice MacNutt – age 90, of
Pereau, Kings County. It is with great sadness that we announce the
passing of our mother, grandmother and great grandmother on Friday,
January 26, 2018 in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in
Martins Point, she was a daughter of the late Albert and Margaret
(Rafuse) Langille. She enjoyed painting, crafts, knitting, crocheting
and camping. She volunteered for various functions and events and
spent many hours in the canteen at the Glooscap Arena, Canning. She
had been very active with the organization of the Glooscap Summer
Festival, was a member of the PC Ladies Group and the Pereau Community
Club. She is survived by a daughter, Margaret Barkhouse (Steve
Hartlin), Wallbrook; four sons, Albert (Paulette), Centreville; Garry
(Pat), Kentville; Wayne (Denny), Halifax; Errol
“Nickey” (Elaine), Pereau; a sister, Betty (William)
Crosby, Coldbrook; 10 grandchildren, Kelly, Jill, Lisa, Michael,
Danielle, Christopher, Nicole, Kimberly, Amanda and Evan; 16 great
grandchildren; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband,
Everett MacNutt; a granddaughter, Jennifer MacNutt. Visitation will be
held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:00
a.m. Wednesday, January 31, 2018 in the White Family Funeral Home,
Kentville, Reverend Gary Manthorne officiating. Private family burial
will take place a later date in the Pereau Cemetery. Donations in
memory may be made to the Pereau Baptist Church. Funeral arrangements
have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation
Services, Kentville.
