Ernest William Rea
At the age of 64 Ernie entered into the presence of his Lord and Savior on Thursday November 8th, 2018 following a valiant three year battle. He leaves behind the love of his life of 40 years, Frances (Sider). Loving father of Michael (Laura) and Rochelle Rea. Adoring grandfather to Kate. There is a permanent hole in our hearts. We will always cherish his selfless devotion and unconditional love toward God and us, his family. His caring and hardworking personality, witty sense of humour, infectious smile, laugh and love for conversation with everyone he met will be dearly missed! He lived his life with integrity and focused solely on others well-being to his very last day. He is now free of cancer and pain and is enjoying everything God has prepared for him. Predeceased by his parents George and Euphemia Rea, and stepmother Thelma. Survived by his brothers David (Linda) and Peter (June). Very special thank you to Ernie’s medical teams at the Ross Memorial Palliative Care, Peterborough Regional Health, and Lakeridge Health oncology units. Please join us in celebrating Ernie’s life on Friday November 16th at 4:00 P.M. at Fairview Baptist Church in Lindsay, Ontario. In lieu of flowers, if desired, memorials may be made to PKD Foundation of Canada or Samaritans Purse Canada.
