Eric’s Obituary
O’NEIL, Eric Lenwood ~ age 88 of South Williamston, formerly of Inglisville, passed away on Monday, December 17, 2018 in Mountain Lea Lodge, Bridgetown, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Little River, he was a son of the late Tennyson and Annie Elizabeth (Trahan) O’Neil. Eric moved to Inglisville when he was a teenager, where he lived for many years, until they moved to live on the Mt. Hanley Road for thirty years. The past two years he lived at Crosskill Court in Bridgetown. Eric loved cars and spent his life as a mechanic. In his early years, you could find Eric behind the wheel of his stock car, “Ginger”. Eric is survived by his loving wife of sixty-three years, Elizabeth “Betty” (Whitman) O’Neil; children, Steven (Becky); Karen (David); and Michael (Kristine); grandchildren, Nicole (Norman), Nathan (Melanie), Brandon, Emily and Skylar; great-grandchildren Natalyn, Elliana, Aiden and Everett; sisters, Beverley and Anna. Eric was predeceased by his son Randall Allan Wayne; his brothers, Glidden, Arthur, Clyde, Lloyd and Richard. We would like to extend our forever thankfulness to Dr. Grant Goodine, the staff at Mountain Lea Lodge and Crosskill Court for all of their loving care, compassion and good laughs. We would like to thank his good friend and roommate, Max, for being with dad and watching over him. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, December 21, 2018 in Fairview Cemetery, Lawrencetown, with Juanita Richardson officiating. Donations in Eric’s memory may be made to Inglisville Baptist Church, Mountain Lea Lodge Recreation Fund or a charity of choice.
