Emily Kristapsons
Dumpe-Kristapsons, Emily – passed away, peacefully, in Port Colborne on Tuesday, December 18, 2018. Beloved wife of the late George Dumpe and the late Adolf Kristapsons. Loving sister to Valerie Cywinski (late Arkadjiusz). Cherished aunt of Sylvia Kenyon (Wayne) and Bruno Cywinski (Carol). Emily will be fondly remembered by her cousin Helena Gintere (Wayne). A special thank you to the staff of St. Charles Village for the care and compassion that Emily received while in your care.
Emily left Riga during World War 2 and arrived in Canada July 1953. She and George owned and operated delicatessens in Toronto, which helped Emily craft her love of cooking. With her loving sense of humor and delicious food; her door was always open and her kitchen a place where family and friends could find comfort.
In keeping with Emily’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a private internment will take place at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to H.L. Cudney Funeral Home, 241 West Main Street, Welland, Ontario. Donations to the charity of your choice in memory of Emily would be appreciated by the family.
