It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Emidio Mattioli on July 29, 2018 at the Juravinski Hospital at the age of 94 years. Beloved husband of the late Adornina Mattioili (2011). Loving father of Rita Aldridge (the late Dennis), and Frank (Susan). Loving Nonno of Virginia Biegel (Tom), and Mark Aldridge. Dear great grandfather to Natalie, PJ, and Addie. Loved brother to Louisa, the late Antonio, Teresa, and Jacomina. He will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews in Canada, Italy and Germany. Emidio was a retired employee of Dofasco with over 31 ½ years of service and he loved to be outside puttering in the garden. Our Dad was a quiet, dedicated husband, father, and Nonno who we will miss. Visitation will be held at P.X. DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 796 Upper Gage Ave., on Tuesday, July 31st from 2-4 & 7-9pm. A Funeral Mass will be offered at Sacred Heart Parish, on Wednesday, August 1st at 10am. Burial to take place at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
