It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our wonderful Mother Elsie Rose (Bosworth) Wiethold at the young age of 76. She passed away on May 6, 2018 in Beaverlodge, Alberta, after a hard fought battle.
Elsie was born on January 28, 1942 in Fall River Mills, California. She immigrated to Canada with her family on July 2, 1951, at the age of nine. Elsie lived and raised her five children in the Williams Lake area of British Columbia until 1979, when she moved herself and four of her children to Alberta. On August 22, 1992, she married Hans Wiethold and made Saskatoon Mountain her home.
Elsie loved her family, her extra children and her friends. She also loved music, gardening and especially her animals.
Elsie is forever in the hearts of her sisters Barbara McLeod, Lucille (Jerry) Erlandson, children Michele Frances, Kelly Smith-Morken (Kevin), Mark Smith, Kathleen Dupley (Tim), Shannon Obst (Les), eleven grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was pre-deceased by her husband of 22 years, Hans Wiethold, her parents Walter and Florence Bosworth, and her brother James Bosworth.
There will be a celebration of Elsie’s life on Sunday, May 20th, 2018 at 2:00pm at the Multiplex in Wembley, Alberta. There will be an open mic for anyone wishing to share their thoughts and stories of her.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Elsie’s memory to Stars Air Ambulance (www.stars.ca) or Bandaged Paws (www.bandagedpaws.com).
