OBITUARY
Eloise Schumacher
November 17, 1924 – December 17, 2018
Eloise Mary Schumacher –
Beloved sister of Marygwen Schumacher. Died suddenly, but peacefully at the Greater Niagara General Hospital in the early hours of December 17th, 2018.
Eloise was an avid gardener and floral designer. She served many years as President of the Niagara Falls Horticultural Society – District 9, Director of the Ontario Horticultural Association, and chair member and past President of the Garden Club of Niagara. Eloise was a lifelong member of St. Patrick’s Church and a charter member of the Catholic Women’s League. Her civic and community volunteer services included many years as a member of the Park in the City Committee. She was responsible for obtaining the official rose of the City of Niagara Falls, the “Rainbow Niagara” rose. Eloise loved golf, driving and all her many friends. For many years, she was Office Manager of London Life in Niagara Falls.
Her smile, her friendly greetings and her business skills will be remembered. Eloise will be missed. A private interment was held at Fairview Cemetery.
