OBITUARY
Ellen Boase
November 28, 1922 – August 8, 2018
In Loving Memory Ellen passed away on August 8, 2018 at the age of 95 in Aberdeen Hospital with her family by her side.
Her husband, Syd, was there to meet her and they waltz their way to Heaven. Ellen was a WWll Bride who came to Canada in 1955 where she enjoyed a life full of family, friends, and ballroom dancing with her husband, Sydney in their younger years and then assisting him with his volunteer work during their retirement. She finally settled, later in life, in Victoria, with her daughter Suzanne.
She was preceded in death by, her parents, Eleanor and William Thomas Hocken , her husband, Sydney James Boase, her brothers, William and John Hocken. She is survived, and greatly missed by, her son, Alan Sydney Boase, her daughter Suzanne Boase, five grandsons, Daniel Edward, Adam Graham and Aaron David Carnwell and Jeffrey Alan and Brian Gordon Boase, nine great grand grandchildren, and friends in Victoria and Ontario.
A memorial service will be held at a later date in Brampton, Ontario where she will be reunited with her loving husband, Sydney James.
Thank you to the Glenshiel staff, Mum truly felt at home during her time there, and to the caregivers of Beacon Community Services.
A special note of thanks goes out to the nurses and care staff of the Lansdowne Unit at Aberdeen hospital for the care given to Mum during her final time.
