1948-2018
With so much sadness, the family of Ellen Grace Bird of Grand Falls,
NB, wife of William (Bill) Cronk and mother of Tyler Cronk, announce
her passing due to cancer during the early hours of October 28th, 2018
at the Grand Falls General Hospital.
Ellen was born in Fredericton, NB on May 15th, 1948, a daughter of the
late Samuel D. Bird and M. Margaret (MacDonald) Bird of Burtts Corner,
NB.
She was a graduate of Keswick Valley Memorial High School and the
Saint John School of Radiology Technicians. Her career as an X-ray
Technician was spent in hospitals in Schefferville, QC, and Grand
Falls, NB until her retirement.
In addition to her husband and her son, she is survived by her
siblings, Josephine (William)Carlisle, Madelyn (late Peter) Crawley,
Ronald (Joan) Bird, Barbara (Monte) Merrithew, Anne Bird, and Jeffery
(Cynthia) Bird, as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and
members of Bill’s family.
William and Tyler would like to extend a very heartfelt thanks to the
doctors, nurses and hospital staff as well as to all the family
members who were of great help during this most stressful time. Also,
a very special thank you to Maureen Roy, who was with Ellen during
every phase of this difficult process.
As per her wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral
service.
For those who wish, memorial donations may be made to the Children’s
Wish Foundation.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Brunswick Funeral Home,
Perth-Andover, NB.
