Elizabeth Lebtag
We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Elizabeth on March 12th at St. Boniface Hospital. She has now returned to her heavenly home and is reunited with her beloved husband of 56 years Max. Elizabeth leaves to mourn her daughters Caroline (Bo) and their son Ben, Dorothy (Mike) and their daughters Grace and Mark-Kate as well as her sisters Tina Pulver and Mary Klassen and sister-in-law Gerda Veith.
Elizabeth was born December 17, 1933 in Alexandrowka, Ukraine. She immigrated to Canada with her family at the age of 14. She lived on the family farm in Elm Creek and then moved to Winnipeg. She met Max and they married in 1961. They lived in East Kildonan and loved spending time at their cottage in Lester Beach. They enjoyed gardening and travelling together. In 2005 they moved to Kingsford Haus. After Max passed away Elizabeth moved to River Ridge II and recently to Arlington Haus.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 17 at 2:00pm at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. with viewing prior to the service at 1:00pm. Interment will follow at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens.
Donations appreciated in memory of Elizabeth to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba.
