Obituary Overview
Elizabeth Joyce Cox
It is with great sadness, that we announce the passing of Elizabeth Joyce Cox on October 21, 2018.
Left to cherish her memory are her son Barry and her daughter Karen (Ken); her three grandchildren Rylan, Amanda and Justin. Elizabeth was predeceased by her husband Harry, son Bruce, and her sister Hilda.
Mom had many loves, aside from her family she loved cats; there was always many in the house over her lifetime. She also loved to walk, mom would rather walk then take a bus if she could. Mom never drove a car.
Mom curled for many years with the East Kildonan Ladies at the Rossmere Country Club. She also belonged to the St. John’s Lawn Bowling Club. Mom also loved playing Cribbage and Bridge with their dear friends the Woodwards.
When Mom and Dad retired they spent 15 summers at West Hawk Lake, where mom would spend countless hours catching Perch in her little row boat on Hunt Lake so she could please her cat Butch who would be patiently sitting waiting on the shore for his daily feast.
Mom was also an accomplished seamstress and her Sunday roast dinners were legendary, with towering Yorkshires to compliment an outstanding dinner.
In 2012 Mom and Dad moved from Oakland Avenue to Dakota House and then Mom moved to Tuxedo Villa in April 2018. We would love to thank the wonderful staff at Tuxedo Villa for their amazing care of mom.
Cremation has taken place and a private family service will take place at a later date.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Elizabeth Joyce Cox 2018..
