Elizabeth Anne Boone
Boone (McNeil), Elizabeth “Anne”, 80, of Bedford, passed away June 15, 2018 at Northwood Ivany Place.
Born in Canso, she was a daughter of the late Mary (Burton) and Joseph McNeil and granddaughter of Jerome and Alice (Keating) McNeil.
Anne was raised in the town of Canso and at the age of 19, she moved to Kentville to take a job with the Bank of Montreal. This is where she met her husband Winston. They moved to many different communities in Atlantic Canada and finally settled in Bedford. They shared a love of horses and for completing the daily crossword puzzle together. Anne was a homemaker and raised 2 boys. She also took great pleasure in growing beautiful gardens and was an avid bridge player.
Anne is survived by her sons, David (Angela), Michael (Michele); grandchildren, Jennifer (Ben) Locke, Jessica Boone.
She is also survived by her sisters, Mary Alice McNeil, and Patricia (James) Shaw and many nieces and nephews.
Anne was predeceased by her husband Winston.
Cremation has taken place.
The memorial service will be held at 10am on Wednesday June 20th in Atlantic Funeral Home, 771 Main Street, Dartmouth, with a reception to follow. Interment for both Anne and her beloved Winston to take place in Oakridge Memorial Gardens, Middle Sackville following reception.
Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia or Diabetes Canada.
