Obituary of Eli Gingrich
“Well done My good and faithful servant.”
Eli Martin Gingrich, of Waterloo, Ontario was born April 5, 1929. On Monday, February 5, 2018 at home, surrounded by his loving family, Eli was ushered into the presence of his heavenly Father. Treasured husband of 53 years to Eleanor (Forster). Beloved dad of Ruth (Jay) Haynes of Whitby, Esther (Tom) Cole of Camborne and Lydia (Pete) Bateman of Waterloo. Much loved Papa of Ian, Joshua, Cheyne, Rachel, Annie, Hannah, Lucas and Sarah.
Eli was predeceased by his parents Joseph and Maryann (nee Martin), his sisters Elvina and Leah, his brothers Cleason, Enos and Alvin.
Eli was unwavering in his love towards his Saviour, his family and his church.
Friends are welcome to share memories with the family on Friday, February 9, 2018 from 2-4 and 7-9pm at First Baptist Church, 306 Erb Street West in Waterloo. A celebration of Eli’s life will take place Saturday, February 10, 2018 at 11:00 am, at First Baptist Church, followed by a reception in the church hall.
The family would like to thank Dr. R. Toews for his many years of compassionate care.
