In Loving Memory
SYRNYK, Elaine Alice Louise – It is with heavy hearts that we announce Louise went to be with her Lord, surrounded by the love of her family on December 3, 2018 at the Haldimand War Memorial Hospital in her 80th year. Louise is now reunited with her daughter, Sonia (2008) and will be missed by her loving daughters Patty (Larry) Legault, Monica Buliung, and Nina Syrnyk (Bill Whynot). Louise was a cherished grandmother to Steven (Jessica), Laurel, Melissa (Ian), Hailey, Michael, Joseph, and Joshua (Dayna), and 6 great-grandchildren. Louise will be sadly missed by her brother Phillip (Sandy) Sernick and family. Pre-deceased by her parents Beatrice and Thomas. She will be lovingly remembered by her cousins, many friends and her Christadelphian family. Louise was raised in Port Robinson, Ontario and began her career as a cook, eventually following her passion to become a nurse at Sunset Haven. She was an integral part of the Out of the Cold and Women’s Place programs in Welland. She was awarded a certificate of achievement from the Province of Ontario for her contributions to Women’s Place. Family and friends will be received at PLESANTVIEW FUNERAL HOME (2000 Merrittville Hwy, Thorold) on Friday December 7, 2018 from 12:00 noon until the time of the funeral service in the Pleasantview Chapel at 2:00p.m. Burial to follow at Pleasantview Cemetery. Memorial donations in memory of Louise may be made to Women’s Place, Welland or the Palliative Care Unit, Haldimand War Memorial Hospital.
