Passed peacefully away surrounded by her loving family on December 21, 2018, Eileen Gertrude Tobin. Predeceased by her husband George, infant sons Dermot and George, her parents Thomas and Ellen Finlay, her sisters and in-laws Ethel Stamp (Tom), Frances Colbert (Bob), Theresa Pennell (Sylvie), brothers Val Finlay (Doreen), Walter Finlay; sons-in-law Jim Knox and Frank Dinn; in-laws Theresa Evens (Ray), Jerry Tobin (Magdalen) and Albert Waddleton. Left to celebrate her life are her children Doreen Dinn, Glenn (Linda), Brenda Temple (Dale), Harold (Kathy), Sandra Knox, Norman (Susan), Pam Tobin-Kelland (Gord), Anne Marie Healey (Joe); her grandchildren Andrea Pearce (Brad), Stephen Dinn (Julie), Susan Bursey (Dwayne), Andrew Tobin, Sara Redmond (Shawn), Jenny Vandeworfhorst (Dirk), David Temple (Julie), Chris Knox, Mike Knox (Lisa Burke), Anna Tobin (Kingsley Gifford), Lauren Tobin (Chris Stoyles), Liam Tobin (Danielle), Tim Kelland (Katie), Claire Healey, Jack Healey and their families; her sister-in-law Irene Waddleton and friends and family in Trespassey and St. John’s, especially Annie Stagg and Linda Martin. Visitation at Caul’s Funeral Home on LeMarchant Road on Saturday, December 22, from 7 pm to 9 pm and Sunday, December 23, from 11 am to 9 pm. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday, December 24, at 9:30 am, at St. Pius X Church, Smithville Crescent. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Flowers gratefully accepted or a donation in her memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
