Obituary for Edward William “Bill” Yarnell
Yarnell, Edward William (Bill)
Died May 9, 2017 after a long battle with dementia. He passed away peacefully in his 82 year at Victoria Manor, Lindsay. He was predeceased by his wife of 59 years, Ann. He leaves behind his 2 sons, Bill (Debbie) and Keith, and his 2 granddaughters that he adored, Erin and Becky, his sisters Arlene (Bill) and Lois (Robert) and predeceased by sisters Gail (Kent) and Sharon (Phil). He was uncle to Susie (Glenn), Kerry and Robin (Brooke). He spent 42 years with Bell Canada in various locations and retired to the Fenelon Falls area to be closer to his grandchildren. He enjoyed travelling to Nova Scotia and Ireland and made several trips to each local, often in search of family history.
He was a very quiet, kind and happy man who is very fondly remembered and often missed.
The family will be having a celebration of life at a later date. The family asked that in lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer’s Society or the Canadian Cancer Society be made in his memory.
