Obituary for Edward Merlyn Arseneau
Arseneau, Edward Merlyn – 77, Truro, passed away on January 24, 2018 in Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Born on July 4, 1940 in Truro, he was the son of the Late Theodore Duncan Arseneau and the Late Bessie “Aileen” Arseneau (Creelman); loving husband of the Late Gertrude “Geraldine” Arseneau (Laird); father of Vincent (Kendra) Arseneau and Maryann Arseneau (Johnny Shaw). He will be greatly missed by his grandchildren, Reagan, Nicole, Dakota and Jaimee and step-grandchildren, Shane and Cody. He is survived by and will be greatly missed by brothers Francis “Frank” Arseneau and Kenneth “Kenny” Arseneau (Debbi Reid) and sister Sharon (Danny) Helpard. He will also be missed by many nieces and nephews. Affectionately known as “Grumpy” by his grandchildren, he worked as a heavy-duty mechanic most of his working days and always enjoyed camping with his family and extended family. Cremation has taken place. There will be a celebration of his life at the Hilden Fire Hall on Sunday January 28, 2018 from 2pm to 4pm. A Graveside Burial will take place at a later date in the Spring. Donations in lieu of flowers and in memory of Edward may be made to the Hilden Cemetery.
