June 18, 1924 – October 26, 2018

Gleeson Edward At St. Joseph’s Hospital on Friday October 26th, 2018, in his 95th year. Ted was born in Hamilton on June 18th, 1924 to John and Sarah Gleeson (Usher). He was predeceased by his loving wife Mary, his stepdaughter Gail Peters (Passmore), and by his 6 siblings Frances (Norsworthy) John, Thomas , James , Robert, and Noreen (Dunn) . He is survived by nieces and nephews Colleen, Carole, Kim, Patrick and Daniel Gleeson, Cathy and Marian Dunn, Laureen Donnachie, Janice Coughlan, Dennis Norsworthy, Crystal Wilcox, a nephew and three nieces in the UK as well as numerous great and great-great nieces and nephews. Despite living in the west end for many years, Ted was a Northender at heart. He looked forward to his trips to Rochester, New York where he enjoyed time with his late cousin Jim Lloyd and his wife Eleanor as well as his many friends at the American Legion who adopted him as one of their own. He had an amazing sense of humour and was truly one of a kind. Visitation is at FRISCOLANTI FUNERAL CHAPEL, 43 Barton St. E. on Tuesday, October 30th, 2018 from 12p.m. until the time of service at 2p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Interment to follow at White Chapel Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
