HYNES, Edward Arthur – passed away peacefully, listening to his beloved Shady Grove Album, Snowflake, at Grand View Manor in Berwick on December 30th, 2017. His daughters were with him at the time. He was born in 1936 on Change Islands, Newfoundland, to the late Arthur and Beatrice (Hart) Hynes. He retired after 20 years of service with the military to focus on his business, Hynes Upholstery. He and his wife worked together doing upholstery for over 30 years. He enjoyed bluegrass music and festivals and was a loyal and true Newfoundlander. He loved boats and boat-building. Edward in survived by his son, Wayne (Louise), Edmonton, AB; daughters, Wanda (Chuck) Swinimer, Mahone Bay, NS; and Sherry (Rick) Ryan, Nictaux, NS; son-in-law, Stan (Susan) Baldwin, Nictaux, NS, grandchildren and great grandchildren, April Doucette and her children, Brendan, Kayleigh, Hayden; Sarah (Justin) Penny and their son, Jaxson; Danielle Baldwin (Stewart Jeffries) and their children, Zoe and Astrid; Jimmy Hynes and his children, Taylor, Daniel, Samaura; Edward (Megan) Hynes and their children, Haley, Wayne, Danika; Gregory (Amy) Hynes and their children, Charles, Gregory; Doyle Swinimer; Kaela Swinimer (Mat Himmelman) and their child, Izabella; Lori Swinimer (Dave Vieira) and their children, Brooklyn and Ava; Vanessa Swinimer (Steven Cammaert) and their children, Nathan and Cali; Nicholas Hynes (Adonis De la Paz); Daniel Ryan; Michael and Katherine Ryan and their daughter, Lilah; Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Florence, daughter, Deborah Baldwin and brother, Roy. The family would like to thank the staff of Grand View Manor for their wonderful care of Dad while he lived there. No visitations by request of the family. A memorial service and reception will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, January 5th, Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main St., 902-825-3448. Rev.
