Edna Filion (MacDonald)
At the Palace Long Term Care, Alexandria on Friday, August 24, 2018. Edna Filion (nee MacDonald) of Alexandria; age 95 years. Beloved wife of the late Adrien Filion. Loving mother of Larry (Mary) of Brockville, Peter (Barbara) and David (Caroline) both of Alexandria, and the late Brian (Laurie of Alexandria). Cherished grandmother of Meagan (Scott), Ryan, Bradley, Riley, Keegan, Daniel, Brennen, and Liam. Predeceased by one sister Joann McDonell, by one brother Keith MacDonald, and by her parents Allan and Isabel MacDonald (nee McDonell). A special thank you to all the staff at the Palace Long Term Care, Alexandria for the compassionate care given to Edna. Relatives and friends may call at the Munro & Morris Funeral Homes Ltd., 114 Main St. South, Alexandria (613-525-2772) on Monday, August 27, 2018 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm and on Tuesday from 9:30 am -10:30 am. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Finnan’s Cathedral on Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at 11 am. Interment will follow in the St. Catherine of Sienna Catholic Church Cemetery, Greenfield. As expressions of sympathy Memorial Donations to the Brian Filion Memorial Fund would be appreciated by the family. As a Memorial to Edna a tree will be planted in a Memory Woods.
