Langille, Edna Christene – 94 of Dartmouth and formerly of The Falls, passed away May 9, 2018 in Dartmouth General Hospital. Born at The Falls, she was the daughter of the late William and Henrietta (Hayman) MacLeod. Edna was a graduate of the Provincial Normal College in Truro and was a school teacher having taught in several one room school houses in the Tatamagouche area and then in Brookfield. She loved animals, especially horses and her cat, Kiwi, gardening, baking, travelling and listening to fiddle music and attending old time dances. She was a long-time member of St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church in Dartmouth and a member of the Women’s Missionary Society. Surviving are, her son, Grant (Janet); grandchildren, Ashley (Nick) Wile, and their daughter, Penelope; Ian (Kristen) Langille, and their children, Madden, Raiden and Tora; nephews, Dougie MacLeod, Allen MacLeod and James MacLeod. She was predeceased by her husband, Freddie; son, Maurice; brothers, George William MacLeod and Victor MacLeod; sister, Beatrice Murray; nephew, Brian MacLeod. A graveside service will be held at noon on Saturday, May 12, 2018 in Bell Gift Cemetery, Balmoral Road, West New Annan. Memorial donations to a charity of one’s choice would be appreciated.
