Obituary of Edith Jagoe
Edith Rae Jagoe, 98, of Annapolis Royal, passed away peacefully on April 19, 2018 at Soldier’s Memorial Hospital, Middleton. She was born to William and Greta Smith in Bathurst, New Brunswick on February 17, 1920. She was the second eldest of ten children. Edith “Dee Dee” was the wife of the late Rev. Eldon Jagoe. Besides being a Pastors wife she was the church song leader as well as a Sunday school teacher. She is survived by her son Lloyd (Sharon) of Granville Ferry; grandchildren, Andrea (Bill) Lynett of Fonthill, Ontario, Troy (Colleen) of Petawawa, Ontario and Jason (Judy) of Etobicoke, Ontario; grandchildren, Meghan and Joshua Jagoe and Malcolm and Keynen Lynett; sisters, Hazel (Al) Harvey, Peterborough, Ontario, Molly, Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario; brother, Roy (Donna), Richmond Hill, Ontario; sisters-in-law, Wilma Smith, Peterborough, Ontario and Joyce Smith, Thornhill Ontario; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Rev. Eldon Jagoe; brothers, Walter and Aubrey; sisters, Ella, Ruth, Margariette, Ruby; brothers-in-law, Lyman Knowles, Ruppert Scott, Al Bermaster and Rev. Stewart Lewis. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Kaulbach Family Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Annapolis Royal. A celebration of Dee Dee’s life will be held in New Bandon, New Brunswick at a later date. Donations made in Dee Dee’s memory may be sent to The Building Fund, Parkers Cove Baptist Church, Parkers Cove, Nova Scotia. On Line condolences may be made at www.kaulbachfamilyfuneralhome.com
