1931-2018
E. Maxine McNeill, 86 years of
age, of Amherst, passed away peacefully at the Cumberland Regional
Health Care Centre of Monday, August, 20, 2018. Born in Kentville, she
was a daughter of the late William & Elsie (Diamond)
Pethick.
Maxine was a big sports fan, loved watching baseball and
hockey. She loved spending time with her family and especially her
grand children and great grandchildren.
Maxine will be sadley missed by her daughters, Belinda Barry
(Lee) of Oakhill, NS, Wanda Dionne ( Jean Guy) of Saint John, NB,
Sandra McNeill (Bill Craig) of Quispamsis, NS; sons, Jim William
McNeill of Amherst, NS, Robert McNeill, (Lisa Johnson) of Amherst,
Alan McNeill of Kawartha Lakes, ON, Chris McNeill (Leeanna) of White
Point, NS; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; brother,
Allan Pethick (Shirley) of Cambridge, ON; several nieces and
nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband
James, sisters, Pat Blanchard, Amy Collicutt, infant sister, Marilyn,
brother, Robert “Bobby”.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of
Furlong-Jones Funeral Home, 70 Church
St., Amherst, NS (902-667-8777). No visitation or service by
request.
Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to
the Kidney Foundation of Nova Scotia, Amherst Little League Baseball,
L.A. Animal Shelter, or charity of your choice.
