Obituary Overview
Duane Peace
It is with profound sadness that the family announces the passing of Duane Peace. Duane passed away peacefully with family by his side on December 17 at the age of 67. He will be deeply missed by his wife and the love of his life Joyce, son David (Dani), daughter Kathryn (Beau) and precious granddaughter Livia, “the most beautiful baby ever”. Duane also leaves behind a large loving family and extended family, which were all equal to him. Duane was born in Tisdale in 1951 and shortly after moved to Saskatoon where his adventures with his brother Barry began. He followed in his late father’s footsteps by entering the electrical trade and became a proud, hardworking and well-respected IBEW member for 48 years. Duane had a passion for life and more importantly a commitment to his family and friends. He was always happiest surrounded by family and loved making everyone laugh. Nobody could quite match with his quick wit and sense of humour. His bigger than life smile and his bright blue eyes would light up any room. Duane loved the outdoors, spending time at the lake with family and friends. Whether it was fishing, quadding, boating, hunting, he was always up for an adventure. He loved relaxing on the pontoon boat with his family behind the wheel. Duane welcomed everyone into his heart and home and had the ability to make everyone feel special. Not one to slow down, Duane spent his retirement sharing his passion of carpentry by teaching David and Beau what his father had taught him. His love and respect of the union steered him into becoming President of the IBEW where he was committed to his fellow union brothers and sisters. Duane’s decisions were never in his self-interest, but were for the betterment of all. If we can learn anything from this great man, it’s to always be honest, open your heart and home to people, work hard and don’t sweat the little things with the people that mean the most.
Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Duane Peace 2018..
