St George, Dr. Gérald (1933-2017)
The family announces with sorrow his sudden death at his winter home in the Bahamas on December 24, 2017 at the age of 84. He was the son of the late Léonard St George and Diane St George (née Legault). Much adored husband of Pauline St George (née Major). Dear father of Denise St George, Louise Colliver (Brent), André St George (Evelyn), and Angèle St George (Luc Tardif). Sadly missed and remembered by his grandchildren: François Mayotte (Kora), Chantal Mayotte (Tom), Chris Colliver (Anne), Kevin Colliver (Haley), Stefan St George (Allyson), Brianna St George, Erik St George, Alex St George, Isabelle St George, Melissa Tardif as well as his great grandchild Emerson. Dear brother of Jocelyne Currie (Ab, deceased), Lorraine Chauvin (Paul), Roberte Charbonneau(Raymond, deceased) and Carmen Tayles. Predeceased by his sisters Claire (Michel Gagnon) and Pauline (Keith Hillsinger). He will also be missed by his sisters-in-law Adrienne Courchesne (Claude), Jacqueline Piché (René, deceased). Predeceased by his sisters-in-law Léonie Desjardins (Pierre, deceased) and brother-in-law Raymond Major (Christine, deceased). Humorous and loving uncle of many nieces and nephews. He will also be missed by many lifelong friends both in Canada and in the Bahamas. Gérald and Pauline celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on July 1st, 2017. He was a very dedicated and well-liked dentist who practiced in Sturgeon Falls for 36 years. He was an active member of The North Bay Dental Association as well as The Northern Ontario Dental Association for numerous years. Gérald was also an active member of various community organizations throughout the years. The family will receive relatives and friends at the Théorêt Bourgeois Funeral Home, Sturgeon Falls Saturday February 3rd, 2018 from 11:30 am. to 1:30. The funeral service will be held in the funeral chapel on Saturday at 1:30. Donations to the West Nipissing General Hospital Foundation would be appreciated (cheques only). No flower donations, please.
