Obituary Overview
Douglas Martin Beingessner
On December 7, 2018, Doug passed away peacefully surrounded by family at the Red Deer Regional Hospital. He was 84 years of age.
He was predeceased by his loving wife Shirley (Combes), his parents Simon and Grace; brothers Melvin, Clarence, and Raymond. Doug will be lovingly remembered by his sons Brian (Tracy), Bruce (Melanie), Robert (Kimberley); daughter Kathleen (Stephen); twelve grandchildren Nicole (Cory), Brett, Mark (Shanelle), Bailey, Cody, Kayla, Amanda, Bennett, Meaghan, Treydon, Daphne, and Jack; and three great-grandchildren Isla, Daniel, and William; brother Stanley (Ruby) and sister Lucille.
A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, December 20, 2018 at 1:00 pm at Eventide Funeral Home, 4820-45 Street in Red Deer. A reception will follow the service.
The family is sincerely grateful to the staff of Revera Inglewood in Red Deer for their care in dad’s last weeks. As well, we would also like to thank the doctors and nurses of Unit 23 at the Red Deer Regional Hospital for their care and compassion during dad’s final days.
Memorial donations may be made in Doug’s honour to the Canadian Cancer Society.
