Douglas (Dougie) Archibald MacDonald, age 87, passed away on Thursday, Dec.
20, 2018 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney NS.
Born in Inverness NS, he was the son of the late Allan & Annie May (MacDonald)
MacDonald.
Dougie resided in Ontario and most recently Howie Center.
Dougie is survived by his stepson, Edal; brother, John MacDonald, Frank Gouthro
(Toronto); as well as several nieces and nephews.
Dougie was predeceased by his wife, Harriet (Sis) Gouthro; sister, Catherine (Kay
Rena) Thew and brother, Donald (Sander) MacDonald.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of S.W. Chant and Son Funeral
Home, Sydney. There will be no visitation. A graveside service will be held at a
later date.
Donations in Dougie’s memory may be made to a charity of choice.
