It is with great sadness that the family of the late
Doug
Hodder of St. Bernard’s announces his passing at the Burin
Peninsula Health Care Centre in Burin on Saturday, June
2nd, 2018, at the age of
90. Leaving to mourn with fond and
loving memories are wife, Elizabeth Hodder of 57 years; sons, David
(Dianne) of Paradise, Allie (Vicki) of Medicine Hat, AB, and
Doug Jr. (Jennifer Miller) of Torbay; daughters, Yvonne (Wes) Oldford
of Medicine Hat, AB, Debbie (Wally) Hodder of St. Bernard’s,
Jeannie (John) Parsons of Paradise, and Jacqueline (Anthony Abbott) of
St. Bernard’s; 12 grandchildren, Stephen,
Viktoria, Robin, Courtney, Rebecca, Brittany, Brandon, Catherine,
Sarah, Joey, Nicholas, and Ryan; 12 great-grandchildren;
sisters-in-law, Ruby Hodder and Nella Hodder; plus a large circle of
extended family and friends.
Doug was
predeceased by his parents, Alphonsus and Alice Hodder; and 13
brothers and sisters.
A special thank you is
extended to the Staff at the Burin Peninsula Health Care
Centre.
The Hodder Family will be accepting visitors at
Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in St. Bernard’s on
Sunday, June 3rd beginning at 7:00 p.m.;
Monday, all day; and Tuesday, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon; from where
the Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Tuesday, June
5th, 2018, time to be
announced. Interment will follow at
Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Cemetery in St.
Bernard’s.
In Doug’s
memory, donations may be made to the Burin Peninsula Health Care
Centre Chemotherapy Unit or flowers gratefully
accepted.
