Obituary of Dorothy Brown
Brown, Dorothy Joan: Passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday March 14, 2018. Joan Brown of Toronto, in her 90th year, was a Havergal Graduate Class of 1947 and Graduate of Household Sciences University of Toronto Class of 1950. Joan was a 47 year Volunteer at Sunnybrook Hospital, an avid golfer, gardener, curler, badminton and bridge player. She loved to read and relax at the family cottage in Haliburton. Beloved wife of the late James Agnew Brown (1990). Loving mother of Susan Duquette (Don) and Ian Brown (Janice). Special Grammy of Lindsay Mercanti (Marc), Sarah Duquette, Jennifer Brown and David Brown. Amazing G.G. of Theodore Mercanti. Dear Sister of Jamie Burry (Win). Joan will be fondly remembered by her nephews Guy, Donald, John and their families. Visitation will be held from R.S. Kane Funeral Home, 6150 Yonge Street (at Goulding South of Steeles) on Wednesday March 21, 2018 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Cremation. Memorial donations to the Sunnybrook Hospital Foundation, Second Harvest Food Rescue. Condolences may be forwarded to the family through www.rskane.ca
