Obituary for Dorothy Noseworthy (Chafe)
NOSEWORTHY, DOROTHY GRACE (nee Chafe) – In her 91st year passed peacefully away at Chancellor Park on Friday, January 5, 2018. Predeceased by her loving husband: Arthur; parents: John and Louise Chafe; sister: Joan; and brother: Andrew. Leaving to mourn with cherished memories her daughters: Donna (David Down), and Lynn (Robert Kyle); sons: Gordon (Faith Stratton), Horace (Theresa Rahal), and Blair (Wanda); loving grandchildren: Carson, Christopher, Allison, Hayley, Emily, Ashley, and Peter; and great-grandchildren: Bridget, London, Cole, and Harper; sisters: Alma Pack, and Hannah (Clarence) Ayres; brother: Alex (Lucy); sister-in-law: Gladys Chafe; also loving remembrances by a large number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Special thanks to the staff of Chancellor Park for the excellent care provided to our Mom. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue with visitations on Saturday, January 6, 2018 from 2pm-4pm and 7pm-9pm and Sunday, January 7 from 2pm-4pm and 7pm-9pm. Funeral service will take place on Monday, January 8 from St. Mary’s Anglican Church at 11am. Interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery, Forest Road. In lieu of flowers, donations in Dorothy’s memory may be made to Alzheimer’s Society, Newfoundland and Labrador.
