Mrs. Dorothy Dobbyn of Melita passed away peacefully with her family by her side at the Melita Personal Care Home on Thursday, January 4, 2018 at the age of 94.
Dorothy was predeceased by her husband Russell (2004), son Dale (1988), daughter-in-law Ethel (1999), and daughter Maureen (1992).
Dorothy is lovingly remembered by two sons: Lloyd (Val) (sons, Dale and Joseph), and Ross (Alma Toms); daughter Donna Jean (Gord) McNish and their three children, Rebecca (Justin) Elliott (Emily, Jaxon, Cali and Grace), Justin (Kara), and Spencer (Stephanie); Dale’s family: Jamie Dickinson and her two children, Matthew (Sheri) (children, Zoe and Knox) and Jordyn, Chad (Jami) Dobbyn (children, Josh and Brendan), Lisa Dobbyn (Todd), and Jayson Dobbyn (Misty); Maureen’s family: Larry Millar and children, Marty, Karla (Blair) Lesy (daughters, Hannah and Kendal), Julie (Rob) Hill (daughters, Kirsten and Alex).
The funeral service will be held at Victoria United Church, Melita on Monday, January 8, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. with (rev.) Heather Sandilands officiating. The interment will follow at the Melita Cemetery.
Donations in memory of Dorothy may be directed to the Melita Health Auxiliary Association, Box 881, Melita, MB. R0M 1L0 or the Victoria United Church Memorial Fund, Box 159, Melita, MB. R0M 1L0
