Dorothy E. Dickey passed away at the Gull Lake Special Care Home on October 15, 2018 at the age of 97. Dorothy was born to William and Gertrude Warner on April 21, 1921 at Droxford, Saskatchewan, where she lived and went to school. She married Norman Dickey November 18, 1943 and lived at Ernfold where they raised their children, Jim, Marjorie and Bill. They moved from town to farm to Swift Current several times before settling in Swift Current in 1967. Dot worked at several places and as sales manager for Beauty Counselor makeup but was best known for her time at Chez Cloth. She was also known for her many crafty talents as well as her front row seat at the Wheatland Mall food court having coffee with friends. She leaves to mourn her daughter, Marjorie (Glen) and son, Bill (Belinda); grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Dwayne (Marcie); Dawn (Hoang), Kaytlin, Logan and Rylan; Carla; Meghan (Jason), Kade and Bowen: Breanne (Justin), Finley and Jayce; Amanda, Madison and Haydin; and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Norman in 1984; son, Jim in 2010; daughter-in-law, Barb in 2013; and brothers, Fred, Roy, George and their spouses. A private family burial at Droxford Cemetery took place October 22, 2018. Donations in her name may be made to the Gull Lake Special care Home Auxiliary, Box 539, Gull Lake SK S0N 1A0. Warren’s Funeral Home was entrusted with the arrangements.
