Obituary for
Dorothe Webb
Peacefully at the Chartwell Lancaster LTC on Friday, November 16, 2018, Mrs. Dorothy Webb; at the age of 99, formerly of Hudson, Quebec and born in Lachine, Quebec. Beloved wife of the late Gordon Webb. Predeceased by her parents. Sadly missed by her many friends and relatives. Patrick Ferguson had a special place in her heart and a special thanks to Doctor Hyrniowski and family for the love and support they gave over the years. Dorothy was a very caring and loving friend to many people in the communities where she lived and always had an active life. She and Gordon were very fond of entertaining family and friends over dinner. They both enjoyed dancing, country western music and traveling. Dorothy was a gifted artesian whose skills were varied but needle work was her forte. Dorothy had two passions in life: her family and friends; and her pets. She had many pet cats (and a few racoons!) of which most were rescued animals. As per Dorothy’s request, cremation has taken place under the direction of Munro & Morris Funeral Homes Ltd., 46 Oak St., Lancaster (613-347-3629). Memorial donations to an animal shelter would be appreciated by her friends. Further as a Memorial to Dorothy, a tree will be planted in a memory wood where: A tree grows – and memories live.

Sympathies message

  1. Dorothy was indeed a very special person – kind, generous and once a friend, a life long friend. I first knew Dorothy as a young child in Beaconsfield, Quebec – she and Gordon (and their cats) were very special and wonderful neighbours. She treated myself and my brother as her own – offering wisdom, kindness and many special treats (movies, trips to St. Hubert BBQ, and to Lachine for spumoni ice cream, usually consumed in the back seat of one of her prized cars). So many wonderful memories of time spent with her and her joyous zest for life. She will be missed.
