POITRAS, Doris (née Nielsen) – Mrs. Doris Poitras passed peacefully on Friday December 28, 2018 at the age of 54 years at the Cornwall Hospice surrounded by her family and friends. Beloved wife of 31 years to Denis Poitras. Loving mother of Alisha (Adam) Poitras and Natasha (Alex) Poitras. Sadly missed by her grandson Bennett. Dear sister to John (Jennifer) Nielsen, Hans (Jackie) Nielsen, Preben (Honey) Nielsen, and Preben Hermansen. Survived by her in-laws Jacqueline (Albert) Poitras, Lucie (née Poitras) (Bruno) Pangallo, Liz Nielsen and as well as her nieces, nephews, and great friends. Predeceased by her parents Anton and Line (née Duus) Nielsen. Cremation has taken place. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the Wilson Funeral Home, 822 Pitt Street, where visitation will take place on Saturday January 5, 2019 from 9-11:15AM. A celebration of life, officiated by Reverend Lois Gaudet, will be held in the chapel of the Wilson Funeral Home on Saturday January 5, 2019 at 11:30AM. Interment in Nativity Cemetery to take place at a later date. If so desired donations in her memory to Hospice Cornwall would be appreciated by the family.
