Doris Arlene Murphy Hayne 2018

Doris Arlene Hayne
May 8, 1933 – July 23, 2018
Doris passed away peacefully at the age of 85 at the Stettler Hospital on July 23, 2018, surrounded during her seven week hospital stay by her loving family. She was predeceased by her husband Raymond, son Laverne, father John, mother Rose, sister Diana and brother John K.
Doris was born in Lougheed, Alberta, and lived in numerous places in Alberta and B.C. during her life. Doris was a dedicated Christian and served God faithfully in her church and community. She had a tender heart for the less fortunate and loved to volunteer at the Red Deer Soup Kitchen. She enjoyed visits from family and friends and especially treasured visits from her great grandchildren. She could often be found in her garden and could grow the best tomatoes and cucumbers.
Doris is survived by family; sons: Leonard (Eleanor), Carl (Bev); daughters: Sharron (Dale), Shannon, and daughter-in-law Sherry; brothers: Faye (Kaye), Lee (Cecil) Dan (Winnifred); sisters: Pat (Len), Lois (Chad) and sister-in-law Genie; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews and many dear friends. We will miss her greatly.
At Doris’ request, there will be no formal funeral service. She will rest in the Gadsby Omega Cemetery, and a graveside interment will be held later.
The family of Doris Hayne wishes to express our sincere gratitude to Dr. Lockhat, the numerous staff at Stettler Acute Care Hospital, and Deb Gitzel of Stettler Home Care. It is because of your compassionate and loving care that Mom was able to go to rest with peace and dignity.
