ALLEN, Donna Louise
(May 6, 1943 – June 15, 2018)
Donna Louise Allen passed away peacefully with family at her side at home in Red Deer, Alberta. Donna was born in Innisfail, Alberta, the third child to Chester and Louise Dodd, but grew up in Olds, Alberta. As a young woman, Donna was an active choir member at Olds United Church. On November 3rd, 1961, Donna married the love of her life, Clint Allen, at Olds United Church, and they made their home for many years in Lacombe, Alberta. Donna enjoyed working at the Sears store in Lacombe, Alberta, as well as working at the craft shows. Donna also loved gardening around her home. Donna and Clint enjoyed many years of travel, including bus trips and attending Accordion festivals. Donna was predeceased by her parents, Chester and Louise Dodd, Dale and Emilie Allen, and one grandson, Tyler Wright. Donna is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Clint Allen, her daughter, Theresa Wright (Ron), her son, Michael Allen (Lorretta), sister, Yvonne Miller (Raymond), brother, Dwayne Dodd (Ruth), sister-in-law, Deloris Jackson (Sam), sister-in-law, Gail Descheneau (Bob) and two granddaughters, Jenna Wright (Justin) and Megan Wright.
Funeral Services will be held from St. Andrew’s United Church, 5226-51 Ave., Lacombe on Thursday, June 21, 2018 at 1:00 PM. Interment will follow in the Fairview Cemetery, Lacombe. If friends desire memorial donations, in lieu of flowers, can be made to either the St. Andrews United Church in Lacombe, Alberta, or the Parkinson’s Association of Alberta.
