With broken hearts we announce the passing of Diamantina on January 5, 2018 at the Hamilton General Hospital in her 79th year. Beloved wife of Joao for 57 years. She will be deeply missed by her children Eugenio, John (Fatima), Anna (Joe), Connie (John) and Mike (Marta); by her grandchildren Jason, Jennifer (Shaun), Jeffrey, Christopher, Sabrina (Michael), Joshua, Austin, Jessica, Ryan, Brandon, and Adam. Great-grandmother to Dylan and Aiden. Diamantina is survived by three brothers and one sister, many extended family and friends. Family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at the hospital for their care and compassion. Visitation will be held at FRISCOLANTI FUNERAL CHAPEL, 43 Barton Street East on Tuesday from 2 to 9 p.m. with Vigil prayers at 7:30 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be offered at St. Mary’s Church on Wednesday January 10, 2018 at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
