Peacefully on Thursday September 13, 2018 at the Milton District Hospital. Derek Slater, in his 90th year was the beloved husband of Joan Slater, loving father of Philip Slater (Leah) and Howard Slater (Kandice), adoring grandfather of Kimberly Slater Palloo (Richard), Jason Slater (Erica), Liza Howes (Kevin) and Jeremy Slater (Debbie) and great-grandfather of Brandon, Justin, Parish, Amellia and Lucas.
Arrangements entrusted to MacIntyre Family Funeral Home, 5399 Wellington Road 52, Erin. A graveside service will be held on Monday September 17, 2018 at Erin Union Cemetery, 5350 Ninth Line, Erin at 2 p.m. Donations in Derek’s memory can be made to the Alzheimer’s Society or the Upper Credit Humane Society.
