WRIGHT, Dennis David –
Age 52, Port Hawkesbury passed away on Sunday, December 31, 2017, in
St. Martha’s Regional Hospital, Antigonish. Born in Halifax,
he was a son of the late George Albert and Joyce Elizabeth (Schrader)
Wright.
Dennis was a dedicated employee of The Maritime Inn, Port
Hawkesbury. He loved playing his guitar with his good friend, Clyde
Dixon. Dennis was a people person, family and friends meant a great
deal to him. Dennis was always doing favours for someone and a
Tim’s coffee was never far from his hands. Surviving are his
daughters, Kaitlyn and Erica, both of Port Hood; son, Jake, Port Hood;
sisters, Debbie (Fraser) Martell, River Bourgeois; Karen (Byron)
Burke, St. Peter’s; brother, George (Brenda), Port
Hawkesbury; nieces, Brandy, Jennifer, Ashley, Hilary, Erin and Haley;
nephew, Evan; great niece, Lilly; great nephew, Ben; aunt, Susan
(Willie) Carter and their daughter, Tammy and son, Billy, French
Cove.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday in Dennis
Haverstock Funeral Home, Port Hawkesbury. Funeral mass will be 10 a.m.
Friday from St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Port Hawkesbury with
Father Conrad Edwards officiating. Burial in the parish cemetery at a
later date. Memorial donations may be made to The Freedom Foundation,
Dartmouth. Words of comfort may be forwarded to the family at www.haverstocks.com
