Denis passed away peacefully in Kelowna General Hospital, at the age of 86. He was predeceased by his parents, Ben and Vera Frie and his son, Rocky. He is survived by his wife, Marie, of 31 years, Wayne (Michelle) Whittemore, Siusan Whittemore, Fr. Scott Whittemore, Gery (Vinetta) Boyd-Frie, Eddie (Hillary) Frie, Gordie (Theresa) Frie, Carol (Jeff) Faye, Chris (Kristiina Raisanen) Frie, 14 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and countless bridges and buildings.

His genius and incredible generosity will be missed by many.
