Deborah Jean Walton
9 April , 1970 – 15 April , 2018
WALTON, Deborah Jean
It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of Deborah Jean Walton, 48, at the Glace Bay Hospital surrounded by her family. Deborah is the daughter of the late Richard and Mora Walton. The strength and fortitude that Deborah had during her battle with cancer inspired her friends and family. Deborah was known for her love of children and could be found with a trail of children following her, full of laughter.
Deborah took pride in her work as a teacher’s aide at JBC School and as a mother to her own children, she had a special connection with her grandchildren, the lights of her life.
Deborah is survived by her long-time partner, Alan Ryan; her daughter Brittany (Dennis) Bremner, Fort Mac; sons Bradley Walton, Edmonton, Derek Walton, Edmonton, Devon Walton (Taylor), Glace Bay. She is also survived by sister Delores Walton (Tommie), brothers Ricky Walton (Susan), Sheldon Walton (Gail) and Kevin Walton all of Glace Bay; two grandchildren Kayson Walton, Glace Bay and Maverick Bremner (Fort Mac) and many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. Deborah was predeceased by her parents Richard and Mora Walton and sister Wanda Russell.
A special thank you to Dr. McCormick at the Cancer Center in Sydney and to the Chemo girls and a special Thank You to Charlene MacNeil who never left her side.
Those we love don’t go away
They walk beside us every day
Unseen, Unheard but always near
Still love, still missed and very dear.
There will be no services as per her wishes. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Patten Funeral Home.
