Deborah Debbie MacDonald 2018

Obituary Overview
Deborah “Debbie” MacDonald
Deborah “Debbie” MacDonald (nee Graff) died peacefully in Kingston General Hospital on July 25th, 2018 at the age of 64. Debbie is survived by her husband, Mike; children, Brennan (Victoria) & Lee (Margarita); granddaughter, Bliss; sisters, Kim, Sharon, Judy; and brothers Rodney, David, Dean. She is preceded in death by her father, Wilbert; mother, Eva. Debbie was born on June 4th, 1954 in Portage la Prairie, Manitoba. She graduated from St. Lawrence College (Brockville) in 1975, alongside her good friend Denyce, with a degree in Child Care. She married Mike, a CN Rail engineer, in September, 1983. A year later, their first son was born and Debbie transitioned into a new full time job – mom.
Debbie may have stopped working, but she volunteered for Belleville Minor Softball over the last 30 years. Her ascent from a parent/coach, to umpire-in-chief, to League President was the result of countless hours of work for the Belleville community. Debbie was an unselfish person that always put family and friends before herself. She was a proud, caring mother whose sons meant the world to her. Debbie held on long enough to welcome her granddaughter, Bliss, into the world. The joy and energy she gave Debbie in her final weeks will never be forgotten. Friends are invited to visit at the Burke Funeral Home (613-968-6968), 150 Church Street, Belleville on Sunday, July 29th, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. A Celebration of Life will be held in the chapel on Monday, July 30th, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Debbie’s life. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
