Obituary Overview
Deanna Margaret Bradley
Bradley, Deanna (Dee)
It is with sad and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother and grandmother Dee Bradley, 81, of Halifax. Dee passed away unexpectedly on October 24, 2018 at the Halifax Infirmary. Born in Arnprior, Ontario in 1937, she was the daughter of the late Melvin and Florence McConeghy.
Being married to a Royal Banker, Gib Bradley, Dee lived in various cities across Eastern Canada. Halifax became their home in 1976. Dee herself worked for RBC for numerous years, at the former Spring Garden and South Park Branch. Along with Gib, Dee spent many Saturday’s volunteering at Northwood running bingo. They also enjoyed several years square dancing with the Stardusters Club of Dartmouth, and spending their summers camping at Sherwood Forest. Dee was a supporting member of the Ruby Revellors (Red Hat Society) where she enjoyed great times with existing friends and made many new ones. She was an avid traveller and was fortunate enough to explore many places around the world.
Dee is survived by her daughter Debbie (Paul Nauss), granddaughter Kelsey Boyd (Kody Cuvelier), grandsons Colin and Liam, former daughter-in-law Pam, step granddaughters Holly Nauss and Jackie Cadeau, and by a few remaining relatives. She was predeceased by her husband, Gilbert (Gib) Bradley, son Kevin, sister Joan Currie and many relatives from Ontario.
A memorial service will be held on November 9 at St Peter’s Anglican Church, 3 Dakin Drive, Halifax; Reverend M. Elliott Siteman officiating. Burial in Oakridge Memorial Gardens, Lower Sackville.
