David Godfrey
Peacefully after a brief illness, on Sunday, December 23, 2018 at the age of 92. Beloved husband of Margaret (née daCosta).
Loving father of Bridget Chandler and Judi (the late Paul Taggart). Cherished grandfather of 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Predeceased by his parents Daniel and Violet (née Stokoe) and by his brother Dan.
David was an international financial security consultant, an accomplished author and a wonderful story-teller. He loved travelling the world, reading his many books as well as playing chess. David was a true gentleman.
Friends are invited to visit at the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 315 McLeod Street (at O’Connor), Ottawa, on Sunday, December 30, 2018 from 11 am to 1 pm with Words of Remembrance at 11:30 am.
