Obituary of David Fairweather
Fairweather, David Alexander of St. Thomas passed away at St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital on November 2, 2018 in his 91st year. Beloved husband of 70 years, Frances (Werden) Fairweather. Dear father of Joanne of Sechelt, B.C., late David Jr.(Aug. 2018), Mark(Karen) of Lighthouse Cove Ontario, Libby of Turner Valley Alberta, Michael(Lisa) of Medeira Park B.C., Susanne of London and Christine(Ron) of St. Thomas. He will be missed by 18 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. Born in London, on November 25, 1927, son of the late George and Louisa(Capener) Fairweather. David served in the Peace Corp in Egypt from 1960-1961. He was a Veteran of WWII 1943-1945. He served in the First Peace Corp of the United Nations. He was an Instructor at the Ontario Police College. David owned the King’s Cupboard at Port Bruce and he was also a DJ at many special parties and dances in the area. The funeral service will be held at H. A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Tuesday, November 6, 2018 at 11:30 a.m. and visitation one hour prior. Interment, Dunboyne Cemetery.
