David Peter Walsh
1954-2018
David Peter Walsh – 63, of Kentville,
passed away Friday, January 12, 2018 in the Valley Regional Hospital,
Kentville. Born in Wolfville, he was a son of the late James and Effie
(Atwell) Walsh. David worked with ACA Co-Operative for 35 years, where
he was known as “Butch”. He also worked with
Morse’s Farm in Berwick. David was a hard-core copper
junkie. He enjoyed playing baseball and also enjoyed watching his sons
play baseball. He is survived by two sons, D.J. (Christine) Walsh, New
Minas; Russell Saulnier (Melinda Corkum), Kentville; four sisters,
Doris Salsman, Kentville; Marion Watton (Jeff Keddy), Aylesford;
Barbara (Rod) Potter, Scott’s Bay; Violet Graves (Steve),
Picture Butte, AB; two brothers, Carl (Marguerite) Dennis, Coldbrook;
Freamond Dennis, New Germany; seven grandchildren, Brandon Walsh,
Carter Myles, Madison Myles, Owen Corkum, Jayden Corkum, Zack
Saulnier-Corkum and Zoey Saulnier-Corkum; many nieces, nephews and
cousins. He was predeceased by two sisters, Joyce Bishop and Linda
Dennis; three brothers, Johnnie, Maynard and Albert. Visitation will
be held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:00
a.m. Thursday, January 18, 2018 in the White Family Funeral Home,
Kentville, Reverend Michael Veenema officiating. Burial will take
place in the Black River Cemetery, Kings County. Donations in memory
may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association. Funeral arrangements
have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation
Services, Kentville.
