Obituary of Darren Holder
HOLDER , Darren William-age 32 of West St. Andrews. It is with deep sadness and broken hearts that we must tell you of the unexpected death of our son. Darren Holder died on October 27, 2018 in Merida, Mexico.
Born in Halifax and raised in West St. Andrews, he was the son of David and Cindy (Hill) Holder.
Darren was loved by all, wherever he went he would light up the room with his bright and beautiful smile. He loved life to the fullest. Darren worked for Pattison Outdoor Advertising in Dartmouth. He loved his Mexican family and friends.
Besides his parents he is survived by his partner, Tyler Grinter; his sister, Jennifer Hill (Barry); grandmothers, Elva Hill and Beryl Holder; his nephews, Declan and Jace Hill, who were his pride and joy; and his special Aunt Leah. He will be sadly missed by his special friend, Cara MacPhee and all his dearest friends; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was predeceased by his grandfathers, Gordon Elroy Hill and John Holder; Aunts, Darlene Holder and Velma Hines.
Visitation will take place 2-4pm Saturday, November 3 in Ettinger Funeral Home, 2812 Highway 2, Shubenacadie from where a Celebration of Life will be held at 2pm Sunday, November 4. Reception to follow at the West St. Andrews Community Hall. A private interment will take place with family and close friends at a later date.
Donations in memory may be made to the Nova Scotia Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Colchester SPCA
