Obituary of Daphne Plewman
Daphne Plewman was born on May 29, 1922, in Dublin, Ireland. She passed away peacefully at Spruce Lane Care Home in Regina, SK on Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at 96 years of age. Daphne completed her schooling and began her working career in the service industry in Ireland. After falling in love with her Air Force Saskatchewan farmer beau, Arthur Plewman, Daphne set sail for Lashburn, SK, on June 4, 1947. She and Arthur married August 2, 1947. Daphne and Arthur farmed in Saskatchewan for 25 years before leaving for BC in 1972, where they lived for 20 years. Upon retirement, Daphne and Arthur enjoyed 20 years together in Camrose, AB. After Arthur’s passing in January 2011, at the urging of her son, Daphne moved to Regina to be closer to family. Daphne was predeceased by her loving husband Arthur, as well as numerous other family members. She will be lovingly remembered by her son Des (Lynn) and family, Steffan (Cheyna), Corina (Dale), Dustin (Desiree), Gina (Devyn), Jenna (Nathan), and seventeen great-grandchildren; daughter Heather (Calvin) Albrecht; sister Heather Valentine of England; sister-in-law Nancy Davis of Victoria, BC; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral Service will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Ave., Regina, SK, on Saturday, December 22, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. Interment will be held at Camrose Valleyview Cemetery in Camrose, AB, on Monday, December 24, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Saskatchewan, 2550-12 Ave., Regina, SK, S4P 3X1.
